The 19th annual WCM Spring Conference is the best way to meet community media professionals from across the state!Every year, equipment retailers and manufacturers, program providers, and other businesses who serve the needs of community media centers come and talk about their products and services with attendees.
Who comes? The conference attracts city employees who are managing cable access channels, city websites, and social media outlets, teachers who are providing video production training to high school and college students, and nonprofit community access television staff, who train the public in the use of media and assist non-profits and individuals in the production of videos for promotion, event coverage, and issues discussion. Low power FM radio station managers and producers also come to the conference.
Exhibitors Reception.We hold a specialExhibitors Reception just prior to the start of our Media Fest Banquet and Show on Thursday. At this popular event, our Exhibitors are front and center. You'll meet award-winning video producers while they enjoy complimentary snacks, beer, and soda.
Speak at a Workshop! Exhibitors also have a great opportunity to be a part of our slate of workshops. Let us know ASAP if you have a particular topic idea! The conference program committee meets to set the topics in December and early January. Attendees can select from two workshop tracks and learn about video production, cable system engineering, cable access management, social media, marketing, legal and regulatory issues, and LPFM radio. The Exhibitors Fair is based in the ballroom used for our general gatherings, so you are always where the action is!
Date: Thursday, April 6 and Friday April 7 Registration Fee: $250 plus a raffle prize valued at $100 retail Registration deadlines: Register and pay by February 17, 2017 to ensure your logo is in the mailed print brochure to our large list of prospective attendees. We will welcome you to register to exhibit until about 10 days before the conference.

What's all included:
Table in the Exhibit Room - the Anchorage - where all meals and general sessions will be held. The hotel is putting out three 6' tables and six 8' tables. Electricity and Internet access - WiFi is available hotel-wide. The hotel will charge $15 to lay powerstrips and tape them down. (Bring your own!) Two meals free: Pick from Thursday lunch, Friday breakfast, or Friday lunch. You may elect to include the Banquet in your two meals for $15. Additional meals at our cost. Your logo in all our printed promotional materials -- our mailed brochure, the Video Fest program, and a one-piece vendor promo sheet in conference attendee folders. Your clickable logo on our website for one year (with tracking). Up-to-date contact information for all WCM member centers and conference attendees. Sponsorship of the Exhibitors Reception: Open to all conference and banquet attendees. This featured event is held just before the banquet begins in the Exhibit Room. Additional meals at WCM's cost. Give away your raffle prize to a lucky winner at Friday's closing luncheon (or we'll do it for you). Make a presentation to the full group. When you sponsor a meal, your logo will appear prominently at the meal, and you may talk to the assembled group for about 5 - 8 minutes on a topic of your choice.

WCM has enjoyed co-sponsoring the conference with the Midwest Region of the Alliance for Community Media for the last four years. This year, with the national conference in Minneapolis next summer, WCM is once again sponsoring our long-running conference on our own. While we still plan to promote the conference Midwest-regionwide, we anticipate a greater proportion of Wisconsin public, education, and government access television professionals at the conference this year. In recent years, approximately 20% of attendees have been from out of state.
