2018 Spring Conference
and Best of the Midwest Media Fest!


Where: Oshkosh Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel & Convention Center, 1 N. Main Street, Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54901.


Hotel reservations:  Hotel room rate is $97.99 for a single or double plus taxes and fees.  Parking is free.  Reservations must be made by April 18, 2018 to receive this discounted rate.  Make your reservation by calling 1-855-230-1900 and ask for the Wisconsin Community Media conference discounted rate.

Registration fee:
Full Conference (WCM & ACM MEMBERS) includes the Banquet & Fest:  $190
Late Registration (MEMBERS ONLY):  $210 begins Friday, April 27
Full conference Non-members:  $260.
Single day Thursday (includes the Banquet & Fest):  $135 members/$155 non-members
Single day Friday: $115 members/$135 non-members

Media Fest Banquet and Show:  Tickets:  $45.  The Best of the Midwest Media Fest will be held on Thursday evening, May 10.  Banquet attendees, please call before registering after Sunday, May 7. Our final count is due to the hotel on Monday.

Scholarships:  Conference Scholarship Application  WCM is extending 3 scholarships to 3 volunteers or staff members from a Wisconsin community access television center or to someone who is working to set up a community access center.  To qualify, your center must have a budget under $50,000 and not have received a scholarship in 2017.  The scholarships reduce the price of a full registration to $120. Applications due Thursday, April 13.

 Pre-conference Sessions (2 hours)
 

Session 1:  Marketing 101 Class
Learn the essential concepts behind marketing and how to devise and implement a marketing plan with the biggest bang for your time and effort.

Session 2: Long-term Strategic Planning
Learn how to develop a long-term strategic plan that sets in motion multi-year do-able action plans based on your priorities and your budget for staff, operations, and capital equipment. 

Session 3:  LPFM Radio Meeting

How Community Television Can Partner with Local Government to Meet Local Challenges (Panel)
