(Posted November 21, 2016)  EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, St. Paul Neighborhood Network, St. Paul.  SPNN increases social, civic and economic equity in our community via the transformative art of media-making and 21st century skill-building. The organization was founded to offer a media voice to under-represented people in the region.  The Executive Director reports to the SPNN Board of Directors, leads a team of seven direct reports (Director of Advancement and External Relations, Community Access Director, Operations and Production Director, Youth Programs Director, Community Technology Empowerment Project Program Director, Office Manager and Master Control Supervisor) and indirectly supervises seven additional staff members. PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER. City of Whitewater/Whitewater Community Television.  Full-Time. 
The Public Relations and Communications Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of municipal public relations and communications strategy, which includes informational programs and activities geared toward the general public and community organizations to enhance the understanding and awareness of City operations, public work projects, and municipal initiatives.  This position plans, directs, and coordinates the operations of the City of Whitewater Public, Education, and Government (PEG) Television Station, Radio, and Internet mediums; supervises assigned part-time staff,; and produces and coordinates production of local programming. Oversees City Internet presence, including website, citizen engagement platform and social media. The Public Relations and Communications Manager is a member of the City of Whitewater's management team, requiring extensive professional and technical abilities.  Work is performed with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in developing, evaluation, and presenting public relations, marketing, and promotional data within established objectives and policies.  Must be skilled in the use of time management and quality practices.  This is a highly visible position and interacts frequently with the public, citizen and business groups, other governmental entities, and the media.

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR.  City of Oshkosh. This position oversees all on-air operations for the City’s Oshkosh Media operation. This position works under the direction of the General Services Manager to design and implement programs and procedures to ensure the successful application of media services. This position is responsible for all technical aspects of the Oshkosh Media operations. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Radio-TV-Film or related field.  Three to five years related work experience.  At least two (2) years of experience in television engineering and video production.  Extensive knowledge of video equipment systems in both studio and field applications.  Maintenance, repair and installation experience.  Pay range is $1,992-$2,276.25 bi-weekly.  Application deadline: Thursday, April 14, 2016. 

JATV DIRECTOR OF MEDIA SERVICES.  City of Janesville.  The person in this position is responsible for the operation and management of the public access cable channel, and represents the station at meetings and events held throughout the community. The Director develops goals and plans for the station, including the use of the website and social media outlets, and oversees the staff, interns and volunteers who help operate the station. The Director is involved in a great deal of community outreach and public information, as well as technical work.  Complete Job Description.  Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field required.  At least three years of experience in broadcasting and/or television operations. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, Public Access TV.  City of Iowa City, Iowa.   The duties of the Executive Director include managing a professional staff of six (two full-time and four part-time employees), while a nine member Board of Directors governs the corporation. Under the direction of the PATV Board, the Executive Director provide leadership and direction to the staff and volunteers, and assist in the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan. The Executive Director is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the organization including, but not limited to financial management, supervising staff; fundraising, marketing and outreach; setting, implementing and evaluating goals. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, multimedia or other related field is preferred.Minimum of four years of management and supervisory experience in the community media field or non-profit setting is preferred.Track record of successful fundraising experience is essential.
